About Nicholas

Nicholas is a Senior Dispute Resolution Lawyer with a diverse practice in property and business law.

Nicholas’ broad experience means that he brings a holistic, commercially focused perspective to legal issues whilst delivering practical and efficient solutions. Nicholas listens to and collaborates with his clients to ensure that he delivers outcomes that are always client-oriented.

Nicholas’ early legal training was at Williams Winter under a fantastic mentor in Bernie McMahon – being his 24th articled clerk.

Prior to joining P&B Law, Nicholas was the Principal Lawyer at Environmental Justice Australia, a leading community-funded public-interest environmental law firm.

While in this role, Nicholas successfully led litigation to oppose both the AGL Floating Gas Terminal in Westernport Bay and the Glenaladale Mineral Sands Mine in East Gippsland – at the time, the only two projects to ever be refused Environmental Approval under the Environmental Effects Act process since it was passed in 1978.

Nicholas’s legal career has been spent as a litigator at general practice firms.

Prior to lawyering, Nicholas worked as an ecological consultant.

Nicholas still enjoys the natural environment. He is a committee member with the Wetland Revival Trust and enjoys walking through Yarra Bend with his whippet, Paco (who can often be found sleeping around the office).
